UC Sustainability Strategy Facts

Some of you have been asking us about UCs Sustainability Strategy, so here some quick facts and links:

  • A Sustainability Strategy was developed and adopted in 2008, but was never implemented (it was put “on hold”)
  • In 2011 a new version was requested from the Sustainability Office
  • As a result, a series of workshops were held with UC staff, and a cost-neutral draft sustainability strategy was tabled in 2012 by the Sustainability Office. However, this was never approved and adopted at University level
  • The draft strategy can be found at: http://www.sustain.canterbury.ac.nz/documents/Draft_Sustainability_Strategy.pdf
